PICK Blytheville volunteers and the Blytheville School District, in attempting to maintain the feeling of Chickasaw Pride that was evident during Homecoming Week, are offering Blytheville Chickasaw flags.
The flags are identical to the ones that fly above each of the school campuses, the administration building and Haley Field.
The flags are $90 each, and anyone interested in one is asked to contact Jackie Plunkett at 870-762-9799 or by emailing at jackie-plunkett@att.net.
Superintendent Richard Atwill said Plunkett will likely take orders for a couple of weeks before submitting them.
"We want to celebrate the upswell of 'Chickasaw Pride' that has become so evident throughout our district," Atwill said. "PICK has sponsored the homecoming floats for several student groups in the district, and they also sponsored the homecoming parade. The group has organized a number of other things for our schools, including vision and hearing tests. They have supervised other activities, including the (Oct. 11) pep rally and car bash throughout homecoming week."
Each maroon flag has an enlarged, up-to-date Chickasaw logo with the words "Blytheville Chickasaws" around the logo.
