Dena Lynn Marshall
Dena Lynn Marshall, 59, of Brookland, died Monday Aug. 5, 2013, at her home. Born in Stuttgart, she was the daughter of the late John Frank and Joyce Bradley Berry and was a 1972 graduate of Sloan-Hendrix High School in Imboden. She later received a B.S. degree in sociology from Arkansas State University. Dena had lived in the Jonesboro area for the past five years and was of the Baptist faith. She loved to travel with many destinations including, Arizona, California, Washington, the Grand Canyon and Mt. Rushmore to name a few.
Survivors include three sons, Nathan Marshall of Bay, Jason Marshall of Jonesboro and Jordan Marshall of Little Rock; one brother, Ronnie Berry of Bay; two sisters, Johnette Berry of Jonesboro and Shannon Berry of Ventura, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
There will be a private graveside service at the Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland with Rev. Steve Farmer officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. The family prefers any memorials be made to the Childrens Shelter, 107 Benson Drive, Walnut Ridge, AR 72476 or the Temple Baptist Church Food Pantry, 2405 Stadium Boulevard, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
