Johnny Allen Looney
Johnny Allen Looney, 56, of Black Oak, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013. He was born Oct. 15, 1956 in St. Louis, Mo., to the late Johnny Woodrow Looney and Gloria Sue Penter. Johnny worked for Monette Well and Pump as a well driller for 12 years, he loved hunting for arrowheads, fishing and running commercial fishing nets and riding motorcycles. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father
and grandfather who put 110 percent into everything he did.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Looney of the home; sons, Zachary Looney and wife Amanda of River Valley, Matthew Arnold and wife Kristina of Indianapolis, Ind., and Joshua Walker and wife Stacy of Black Oak; one daughter, Angie Toney of Jonesboro; brother, Randy Looney of Walnut Ridge; aunt, Joyce Thornell of Black Oak; 10 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends, as well as his first cousin, Barry Thornell who was as close as a brother.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, at the Black Oak Church of Christ with brothers Chubb Qualls and Mike Cook officiating.
The family received friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.
Honorary pallbearers are: Nathaniel Looney, Zachary Looney, Tim Ray, Jim Watson, Don Fletcher, Joshua Walker, Gary Overman, Pedro Cadrenos and Michael Holland.
