T.J. Hansard

Mr. T.J. Hansard, 86, of Blytheville passed from this life Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Born in Kennett, Mo., to John and Mary Hansard, he was a Veteran of the United States Army and proudly served during World War II. He was a retired pressman for the Blytheville Courier News and a member of Ruddle Road Church of Christ.

T.J. enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's activities.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Lynn Gaines; a son, Jeff Hansard; a brother, Cecil Hansard; a sister, Juanita Crawford; and his step-father, W.J. Warren.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Billie Browning Hansard, of the home;

Two daughters, Leslie Lawrence of Memphis and Belinda McHan of Fayetteville;

His grandchildren, Susan Perry, Shani Governatori, Wayne Bill Gaines, Sherri Gaines, Terri Gaines, Brooke Clay and husband, Adam, Brad Lawrence and wife, Emily, Kyle McHan, Clint McHan and wife, Denise, and Chelsea McHan;

His great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Alyssa, Ashton, Kara, Katie, Grayson, Hayden, Javier, Avery, Heidi, Annabelle and Rosemary;

Two sisters, Flora Mae Turnage of Blytheville and Aileen Phillips of Oelwein, Iowa;

A special niece, Tonya Pankey;

A special nephew, Michael Pankey and wife, Amanda, and their children, Remington and Paicyn; and

A sister-in-law, Linda Pankey and husband, Clarence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Pankey officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
