The United States Navy Band Mid-South will present a special concert of patriotic melodies and traditional military band music on stage at The Ritz Civic Center at 7 p.m. Monday, July 1.
The program is presented by The Arts Council of Mississippi County.
The band consists of 30 professional musicians in service to the country. Whether performing for our troops at home and abroad or for citizens across America, this group reflects the heritage and pride of the nation and of the U.S. Navy. In the past year, the combined units of the Navy Band presented more than 7,000 concerts around the world and entertained more than 15 million people.
Among the performances was a holiday concert presented The Ritz last December.
This Independence Celebration Concert will include familiar patriotic selections and melodies along with those favorite tunes typically associated with a military band -- a great show for family and friends to enjoy together.
Admission is free, but tickets are required and available beginning Monday, June 10, at The Ritz. They may also be requested by writing to 306 W. Main, Blytheville, AR, 72315, or by faxing 870-763-1950. The tickets are limited to four per person. All audience members will need a ticket, regardless of their age.
This is the first program of the 2013-14 Series for The Arts Council of Mississippi County, and other great events are scheduled for the year. For information on any of these events, call 870-762-1744, or visit the www.artsmissco.org.
