Grover Cleveland Travis
Mr. Grover Cleveland Travis, 84, of Osceola, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in Osceola.
He was a retired factory worker and of the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie Travis and Ethel Travis; his first wife, Earlie Mae Travis and second wife, Emma Baker Travis; three sisters, Sabbie Nicholson, Bessie Travis and Mary Jefferson; and five brothers, James Travis, John Travis, Tommie Travis Jr., Joe Travis and Williams Travis.
He leaves behind one daughter, Ann Travis of Osceola;
Four sons, Larry Travis of Gary, Ind., Tommie Travis of Chicago, and Argy Travis and Arnrell Travis, both of Osceola;
Two sisters, Maud Windom of Benton Harbor, Mich., and Blanche Jefferson of Osceola;
One brother, Andrew Travis of California; and
Eleven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at the funeral home with the Rev. Billy Driver officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
