Annie Mae Duncan
Annie Mae Duncan of Bonne Terre, Mo., passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the age of 75. She was born April 26, 1937, at Manila, the daughter of the late John Riley and Clara Edna (Reis) McDole.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry McDole and Jimmy McDole; and son-in-law, Dennis Jercick.
She grew up in Manila where at the age of 15, she worked in a local cotton field. It was there she met a co-worker named Jasper Duncan. They married at a young age and raised five children together. Most of her adult life she lived in St. Louis and in the state of Arkansas. Four years ago, she and Jasper retired to Bonne Terre to be near family. She was an active and faithful member of the Genevieve Baptist Church. She was the ultimate homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing and quilting. Her family was her passion and she was very devoted and dedicated to them.
Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Jasper Duncan; her children, JoAnn (Mrs. James) Carnaghi, Nancy Jercick, Terry Duncan and wife, Kelly, Wanda (Mrs. Tim) Chrismer, and Karan (Mrs. Mark) Sabin; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, John McDole, Jr.; two sisters, Lela Baughman and Shirley Davison; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Memorials may be made to the Genevieve Baptist Church.

The funeral was held April 29, 2013, at Genevieve Baptist Church with Brother Killian officiating. Interment was at Genevieve Baptist Church Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Jacques Fancher, David Duncan, John Duncan, Jake Jercick, Shane Jerick, Roscoe Duncan, and Dan Fievet.
