Eddie Mae Yarbrough
Mrs. Eddie Mae Yarbrough, 100, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at South Mississippi County Regional Medical Center in Osceola. Born July 15, 1912, in Louisiana, she was a homemaker and a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the oldest living member, an Usher and Mother of the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Annie Mae Spencer; her husband, Steve Yarbrough; her sisters, Ophelia Spencer and Lonnie Carter; and her brothers, Doug Spencer and I.C. Spencer.
Mrs. Yarbrough leaves her daughter, Freddie Mae Cothran Yarbrough of Blytheville;
Two sons, Roy (and Marilyn) Yarbrough of Kalimazoo, Mich., and Arthur Mack Yarbrough of Belglade; and
Six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Odale Jones, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
