ARMOREL --The Armorel Tigers outscored the Black Rock Zebras, 39-0, over two games Tuesday night in 1A-3 East action at Armorel.
Armorel won game one of the conference doubleheader, 18-0, and game two, 21-0.
Armorel scored nine in the first inning and three runs in each of the second, third and fourth innings to win game one.
RBI hits from Ashton Kennedy, Jonathan Porter, Taylor Hopper and Ty Wagganer highlighted the runs in the first inning, while Dallas Nicholson hit a two-run, inside-the-park home run to highlight a three-run third for the Tigers.
Armorel (19-7, 9-1 1A-3 East) collected 18 total hits in game one.
Zack Gray (3-3), Kennedy (1-4), Wagganer (2-4), Porter (1-2), Hopper (2-2), Nicholson (2-3), Payton Brown (2-2), Lane Finely (2-2), Nash Winters (1-2) and Brandon Riddell all collected hits for the Tigers.
Seth Eatmon allowed just three hits and two walks over five complete innings of work for the Tigers and he struck out two.
In game two, the Tigers collected 16 hits from nine different players in their 21-0 win.
Gray (1-3), Kennedy (2-5), Wagganer (1-2), Porter (1-4), Nicholson (2-3), Brown (3-4), Lannon (3-4), Eatmon (2-3) and Winters (1-2) powered the Tiger offense.
Payton Brown pitched four innings of scoreless ball for the Tigers allowing only one hit and one walk.
Payton Lannon pitched a scoreless fifth to close it out for the Tigers.
Armorel heads to Ridgefield Christian on Friday. A win will clinch the Tigers fourth consecutive conference title.
