Who owns Mississippi County? Thousands of people have a piece of it, and they are listed in the new plat book published by the Mississippi County Conservation District with Mapping Solutions.
New this year are aerial view maps opposite the landownership map pages. The 106 page spiral bound book features township and range maps of Mississippi County. These maps include the property boundaries for all rural parcels within the township, the name of the owner and the number of acres owned. Also, there is a handy landowner index for easy cross referencing. Due to the large number and small lot sizes, the book does not show ownership of land under ten acres within the city limits. That information is available to the public through the Mississippi County Courthouses.
Information about the Mississippi County Conservation District, a list of county officials, and municipal maps are included in the book. Information about the public land survey system is an added bonus.
This information is valuable to anyone with a need to know who owns land in Mississippi County. Prospective or adjoining property owners, hunters, foresters, timber and petroleum industry personnel, emergency services and many others would be interested in having a copy.
The 2013 book and large premium wall maps of the county are available for purchase at the Conservation District office, 3137 West Keiser Avenue, in Osceola. For more information contact Sherri or Whitney at 870.563.3207, extension 101.
