The Blytheville man wanted in connection with a homemade bomb found Wednesday is now in police custody.
James Lowe Jr., 32, of Blytheville turned himself in to police Thursday, according to Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson.
The Blytheville Police Department executed a search warrant Wednesday evening in 1000 block of West Walnut in an attempt to recover firearms.
According to Criminal Investigations Division Capt. Scott Adams, the search led to the discovery of several firearms and a homemade bomb.
"The Shelby County Sheriff's Department Bomb Squad was contacted and responded and safely disposed of the bomb," Adams said.
He said during the execution of the search warrant, officers attempted to take Lowe into custody on a warrant and in connection to the items recovered during the search.
However Lowe was able to flee the scene in his 1997 black Chevy Silverado pickup truck.
It is unclear at this point what Lowe will be charged with.
