The Buffalo Island Museum in Monette has announced the 2013 opening date. The museum will begin opening on April 5 and will be open Friday and Saturday from 12:30-4 p.m. April through December.
The museum committee is already planning upcoming events. The annual Spring bake sale will have all kinds of cakes, pies, and cookies and we will once again be selling Boston butts. The date will be announced later.
We are already planning our annual quilt show in September and are planning on other events throughout the year. The museum is having a special exhibit of miniature tea sets April through June, and planning other special exhibits. Our "Mystery Artifacts's" contest was very popular last year and we will begin the contest in April. You may visit the museum's Facebook page or visit the museum for more information. Buffalo Island Museum wishes to preserve the history of this area.
