Jimmy Dale Rolland
Jimmy Dale Rolland, 70, of Leachville, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at Monette Manor Nursing Center in Monette. Born at the Letona Community near Searcy, he was the son of the late Robert Floyd and Maudie Pearce Rolland and had lived most of his life in the Buffalo Island area. He was retired from Hawkins Farms and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Leachville.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Jewell Piercy Rolland of the home; his son, Jimmy Rolland, Jr. and his wife Sheila of Monette; his daughter, Tammy Spikes and her husband Terry of Monette; one brother, Claude Rolland of St. Helens, Mich.; his granddaughter, Sheena Willison of Frostburg, Md. He was a special "Poppy" to Nick Feagen of Dell.
Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Lee Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Macey Cemetery near Monette.
Active pallbearers were Bob Crites, Lee Spence, Robert Clowers, B.J. Young, Charles Layton and Justin Hawkins. Honorary pallbearers were the Second Baptist Church Men's Sunday School Class.
The family received visitors from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
