So far, the files from the joint investigation of the Arkansas State Police and FBI "haven't revealed anything," but prosecutors are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the city of Blytheville's multimillion dollar payroll tax debt to the Internal Revenue Service.

Second Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington was asked Tuesday afternoon about the pace of the investigation. The ASP and FBI files have been in the prosecutor's hands since December.

"We are still looking at what has been presented so far from the State Police and the files that came through the FBI's investigation," Ellington said, "haven't revealed anything, and we're still holding out, we're still looking."

Ellington declined to say what authorities are specifically looking for or any potential charges.

Ellington still did not have an estimated timeframe on when there would be a decision whether or not to pursue charges.

The ASP and FBI's joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding the city of Blytheville's multimillion payroll withholding tax debacle began in early 2012, and the files were sent to the prosecutor in late December.

Blytheville-Gosnell Regional Airport Authority President Barrett Harrison was mayor, and former city employee Faye Griggs was the finance director during the time that the payroll taxes weren't paid.

Harrison has maintained he didn't know the taxes weren't paid. Griggs has not spoken publicly.
