Heritage Party a success for local museum

The Delta Gateway Museum hosted its inaugural Heritage Party Saturday.

With nearly 100 guests, the 1940s-era USO-style party celebrated the opening of the former Air Force base in Blytheville with period-inspired music and dancing, a photo booth and historic exhibits and art pieces from local artists.

The party propelled the museum's fundraising efforts to nearly $26,000 for the first year of its capital campaign.
