Blytheville Courier News
All the local basketball games were postponed Tuesday night because of inclement weather.
The Blytheville Chickasaws were scheduled to host Nettleton, Gosnell was set to entertain Westside, and Armorel was slated to travel to Maynard before weather conditions forced the teams to change their plans.
Blytheville will make up its game against Nettleton on Jan. 29, while Gosnell will now host Westside Thursday night.
At press time, a makeup date for Armorel-Maynard had not been announced.
Blytheville and Nettleton are both currently in a logjam tie for fourth with Greene County Tech and Wynne.
The Chicks (4-12, 1-2 5A-East) are coming off their first conference win last Friday at Batesville.
Blytheville now turns its attention to Wynne, which makes the trip to Chickasaw Gym on Friday.
The game will be the first of back-to-back home contests for the Chicks.
Overall, the Yellowjackets are two games under .500 at 6-8 on the season, to go along with the 1-2 conference mark.
Meanwhile, the Pirates (14-3, 4-3 3-4A) will try to stay perfect on the new year when the Warriors visit on Thursday.
Gosnell will try to avenge an early season one-point loss to the Warriors before they hit the road to take on the Cave City Caveman next Friday night. Thursday, the junior high starts action at 6 p.m., followed by the senior high contest.
