POCAHONTAS--The Gosnell Pirates won their second game in a row Tuesday night, a 51-41 victory over the Pocahontas Redskins in 3-4A action.

Trailing for most of the game, Gosnell (13-3, 3-3 3-4A) outscored the Redskins, 19-9, in the third period to take a 40-32 lead and held on for the win in the fourth.

Gosnell trailed 13-9 at the end of one and 23-21 at halftime.

Will Rose led the Pirates with 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Richard Razor and Rod Jones each scored 11 points a piece. Tre Howe, who is recovering from a turned ankle in last week's Valley View game, still scored nine while dishing out three assists.

Gosnell heads to Trumann tonight to take on the Wildcats in another key 3-4A matchup.
