Martha Brooks

Mrs. Martha Brooks, 76, of Harrisburg, formerly of Luxora, passed from this life Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born in Ripley to Roy and Maggie Reed Vaughn, she was retired from American Greetings. Martha's greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Brooks; her son, Mark Mink; one brother; and one sister.

Martha is survived by her children, Donna Canada and her husband, Johnny, of Sweetwater, Bill Mink and his wife, Deborah, of Harrisburg, and Keith Perkins and his wife, Deborah, of Chandler;

Her sister, Cathy Hoskins of Blytheville; and

Six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville, with the Rev. Jackie Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Cobb Funeral Home. The family requests any memorials to be made to Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
