Coach Bill Taylor will be returning to Manila for the second semester of the school year. The Manila School board met in special session Thursday, Jan. 3, and immediately went into executive session to discuss personnel.
The board voted, on the recommendation of Superintendent Pam Castor, to hire Taylor for 96 days. Among his duties will be athletic director and head baseball coach.
The position was left open when Mike Bridges retired at the end of the first semester.
All board members except Tony Crowell were present.
The next regular meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17.
