Manila Senior Citizens Center was busy on Wednesday as the seniors and guests enjoyed a Christmas potluck luncheon.

Manila Mayor Wayne Wagner and members of the city council provided chicken and the members all brought a variety of holiday foods to share.

Danny Cox and The Gypsy Band played and sang Christmas carols for the event.

Mayor Wagner thanked the staff and all of the senior citizens for making the center such a success.

He introduced Mississippi County Judge Randy Carney and his father, Tommy Carney, special guests for the luncheon.

"A lot of the funding for these programs comes through the county," Mayor Wagner said. "Judge Carney has been great to work with. We appreciate his support in Manila."

"I appreciate the vision Mayor Wagner has for Manila," Judge Carney said. "Manila has a bright future. God is good."

Judge Carney's father has been in the ministry for 53 years. He offered the blessing.
