The Arkansas State Police file on the Blytheville IRS matter is in the prosecutor's hands.
Second Judicial District deputy prosecuting attorney Curtis Walker told the Courier News this morning (Friday) he has the file at his office in Blytheville.
Walker will review the information compiled by state investigators over the last several months.
The ASP and FBI's joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding the city of Blytheville's multimillion payroll withholding tax debacle began earlier this year. It had been ongoing since at least April.
According to records, the city failed to remit approximately $2.4 million in payroll taxes and the debt is $3,117,321.10 after penalties and interest.
