Deanthony Perry, 25, who was arrested in August and charged with two counts of commercial burglary and two counts of theft of property, is set to appear in circuit court for a plea and arraignment date on Friday, Dec. 28.

Perry's charges are connected with thousands of dollars of copper wiring and other equipment theft from the Entergy Arkansas facility on South Elm. Also arrested in the incident was Kevin Sanders, 20, who faces charges of commercial burglary, theft of property, possession of marijuana, obstruction of governmental operations, driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance.

A vehicle was identified in security camera footage from two separate burglaries, which occurred on July 21 and July 31, and investigators came into contact with Perry at a later time while he was driving the vehicle. Detectives also discovered that Perry allegedly sold a large amount of copper in Kennett on July 23 and July 31, netting a profit of approximately $2,000. Warrants were prepared and Perry was brought in to the BPD on Aug. 9. According to the investigative reports, Perry admitted to selling the property but denied being involved in the burglaries.

Both Perry and Sanders have an extensive arrest history with the Blytheville Police Department.
