CLARKTON, Mo. -- The Gosnell Pirates will try for their third tournament championship in as many weeks Friday night thanks to a 74-60 win over Risco, Mo. Thursday night in the semifinals of the Clarkton Reindeer Tournament. This was their eighth win in a row.

Gosnell (9-2, 0-2 3-4A) trailed for most of the first two and a half periods before getting the lead late in the third and running away with it with a 24-point fourth period.

The Pirates trailed 21-15 at the end of one, 37-32 at halftime before leading, 50-45, heading into the fourth.

Tre Howe led the Pirates with 28 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Richard Razer added another double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Tevin Real and Rod Jones each scored six points a piece with Jones adding four steals and three assists. Will Rose grabbed seven boards, swiped three steals and dished out four assists.

The Pirates will play Piggott, who defeated Clarkton, Mo., for the championship at 8 p.m. tonight in Clarkton.
