The Arkansas Northeastern College Department of Music will present its annual Christmas programm "A Festival of Lessons and Carols" Sunday afternoon at First Baptist Church.

The program is designed around several short readings and Christmas carols. The program, which originated in 1918 at King's College in the United Kingdom, is now performed all across the globe.

Sunday's performance will include music from the Chamber Singers, the Women's Chorale, the ANC Concert Singers and the Community Choir, as well as many leaders from both the college and the community as a whole serving as readers. This will be the second year for the program in this area, according to Keith Hearnsberger, director of choral activities at ANC.

"I'm really excited to see a program like this being done here in Blytheville," Hearnsberger said. "And I'm very proud of all the students and community singers for all of their hard work."

"A Festival of Lessons and Carols" will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Blytheville. Admission is free.
