Recent reports from the Blytheville Police Department:
Officers reported to Edwards Street in response to a Mercury Grand Marquis on fire. The witness said when she was leaving her house for work she noticed a Nissan Cube speeding away from the Grand Marquis on fire. The fire department was called and the fire was extinguished. Blytheville Fire Department Lt. Emmert said he detected the odor of gasoline around the vehicle and said the fire was intentional and that he would inform the fire marshal. Estimated damage was $4,000.
