Blytheville firefighter going pink during October

Blytheville firefighter Frank Dale Stracener is wearing a pink fire helmet during the month of October to commemorate a friend's fight against breast cancer.

Sherry Taylor, the mother of one of Stracener's fellow National Guard soldiers, was diagnosed with breast cancer in March, has recently undergone surgery and is facing another operation.

In Taylor's hometown of Paragould, a 5K race was recently held to help with her medical expenses, and Stracener purchased the helmet to wear all month in her honor.
