Buffalo Island Central's Lady Mustangs finished seventh in last week's Class 2A State Golf Tournament at the Chamberlain County Club in Danville. The Lady Mustangs fired a 387, led by Brittany Stockton's 115 total. Rachel Simmons tallied a 130 while Kaylee Greathouse came home with a 142 score.

"We had a good season," said BIC Coach Carey Cossey. "This is the third straight year we have gone to the state tournament. We finished fifth two years ago, were runner-up last year and got a seventh place finish this season. I think that speaks well of our program. This has been a really good run for us and we hope to keep it going."

Cossey will take Ryan Stuck and Jacob Sanders to Danville to participate in the Class 2A Boys State Tournament this week. Stuck and Sanders will compete as individuals in the tournament.
