Lavern Warren
Mrs. Lavern Warren, 69, of Osceola, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, in Memphis. Born Dec. 20, 1942, in Osceola, she was a retired cook for the Osceola school district and a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, serving on the Motherboard and Usherboard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Talley and Evelyn Brown; her step-father, Amos Brown; two sisters, Betty Gray and Linda Armstrong; and one granddaughter, Leanniati Thomas.
Mrs. Warren leaves her husband, Jessie Warren of Osceola;
Three daughters, Evelyn Richardson of Coon Rapids, Lillian Richardson of Osceola, and Rosie Lee Thomas of Jonesboro;
One son, Jessie Warren Jr. of Osceola;
Four sisters, Thelma Rayborn of Freeport, Florene Porter of Benton Harbor, Mich., Joyce Marie Moultry of Lennox, and Joann House of Little Rock;
Seven brothers, Ollie Talley of Benton Harbor, David Brown of Memphis, Jim Brown of Gardene, and Charles Brown, Theo Brown, Johnny Brown and Elroy Brown, all of Blytheville; and
Eleven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Ed Richardson, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove MB Church in Osceola. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
