Sept. 27

Tabitha Mae Newton was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication and refusal to submit to arrest after officers were called out to 937 S. Ruddle in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival Newton told officers she and her boyfriend had been fighting. Newton's boyfriend claimed she was high on pills and had been trying to fight him all day. Officers said Newton appeared to be highly intoxicated and was argumentative. Newton then threatened officers before being detained.

Ronnie Scott was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and refusal to submit to arrest after officers observed Scott standing in front of Hawks on Main Street. Scott was apparently walking in the middle of the street and started yelling and cursing at the approaching officers. Scott allegedly continued to be aggressive with officers when they made contact and he was taken into custody.

Sept. 29

Jewell Love-Bonds and Reginald Bonds were arrested and charged with third-degree domestic battery after officers were dispatched to 1100 E. Ash in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Bonds who said his wife, Jewell, came to the Hut where he was at and started an altercation. Jewell asked Reginald to come home because he had been out long enough. He said he would be home shortly. When he got home, Reginald said Jewell had a knife, at which time he needed to defend himself. Jewell claimed that when Reginald came home, he attacked her. Both individuals had minor scrapes and abrasions.

Sept. 30

Gregory Selvy was arrested and charged with DWI, refusal to submit and driving left of center after Lourcey nearly collided with an officer's patrol unit. When the traffic stop was initiated, Selvy allegedly ran over the curb of the parking lot at Save A Lot. Officers noticed the driver smelled like intoxicants and his speech was slurred. Selvy admitted to having had one 40-ounce beer. He was allegedly unable to complete a field sobriety test and was taken into custody.
