The Arts Council of Mississippi County is looking for volunteers to help with its annual Halloween fundraiser, "The Haunted Theater."

If you think you have what it takes to be creepy and scary (with or without a costume or mask), there is a meeting for volunteers from 6-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Ritz Civic Center, 306 W. Main in Blytheville.

"The Haunted Theater" will be open Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19-20, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25-27 and again on Tuesday and Wednesday (Halloween), Oct. 30-31. Scares will start every night at 7 p.m., closing when the last body is out, dead or alive.

All-new rooms have been designed for this year's "Haunted Theater."

There is a general admission charge of $5 that will benefit The Arts Council and their children's programming schedule. The Arts Council will also provide, free of charge, a kid-friendly room with a caretaker for parents who want to tour but have little goblins or ghosts who are too young.

"Each year we do this, volunteers and guests have a great time and will leave with moments to remember," says Arts Council assistant director and event coordinator Ken Jackson.

For more information on becoming a volunteer or if you have any questions, contact The Ritz at 870-762-1744 or visit www.artsmissco.org.
