Jack Poyner
Mr. Jack Poyner, 72, of Bald Knob, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, after a battle with cancer. Mr. Poyner was born Dec. 8, 1939, in Farrenburg, Mo., to the late Willy Ensely and Cornelia Virginia Poyner. Mr. Poyner was of the Baptist faith and served his country in the Army. He was an avid outdoorsman and a mechanical genius.
Survivors include his wife, Kathyrn Poyner of Bald Knob; one son, Billy Poyner of Sikeston, Mo.; six daughters, Tami Overby and Missy Abney, both of Sikeston, Kelly Scott of Manila, Ark., Dawn Ward of Searcy, Ark., Mary Bonds of Conway, Ark., and Trisha Castelli of North Little Rock, Ark.; four sisters, Jane Ann Agan of Texarkana, Ark., Jean Follis of Texarkana, Texas, Sue Byrd of Saratoga, Ark., and Jetta Merridith of Texarkana, Texas; one brother, Jim Poyner of Morgantown, W. Vir.; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Mr. Poyner was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bobby Curtis and June Arlen Poyner.
