Armorel resident Kelly Coalter pleaded guilty this week to second-degree murder in the 2011 shooting death of Claudine Hendrix.
Coalter was arrested and charged after deputies of the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department responded to a 911 call on Nov. 28, 2011, from the home shared by Coalter and Hendrix.
Coalter had been shot in the leg, and Hendrix was dead from gunshot wounds to the torso, head and leg. Affadavits in the case stated that a 911 recording of the call made by Coalter shows her to have said that Hendrix had shot her in the leg, but that she had "finished her off."
Coalter was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
