The Blytheville School District's "Back-to-School Bash" will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, one day before the start of the school year, at Blytheville Intermediate School.
The bash promises to be an evening of food, fun and fellowship and the "perfect opportunity to begin a positive relationship with the parents of our students as well as community members," according to Parental Involvement Coordinator Teryn Spears.
The district will have backpacks for the students because of the support of Ritter Communications and Ignite, an active community group that supports the Blytheville School students. The backpacks will be packed with supplies and given out at tents of each of the six schools.
Also, the local churches have agreed to serve food and watch as the students participate with the giant inflatable toys.
