NWTF planning trap shoot event

The Southern Mississippi County Strutters National Wild Turkey Federation Chapter will be hosting its inaugural Adult and Youth Trap Shoot on the River.

The event will be held Saturday at the Sans Souci Landing river park, located next to Bunge in Osceola (2250 E. Highway 198), with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. and shooting events starting at 9 a.m.

The event is open to shooters of all ages. The registration cost is $10 for 10 clays and everyone who registers will be entered to win to win either a Winchester SXP 12-gauge camouflage shotgun or a Taurus Judge Pistol for a youth or adult participant, respectively.

The day will include shooting events, a silent auction, food from The Hog Pen and giveaways. All clays and ammo will be provided by the NWTF, the shooters need only bring their guns.

All proceeds from the event will go toward the NWTF's Juniors Acquiring Knowledge Ethics and Sportsmanship (JAKE) program for the state of Arkansas.
