Blytheville will be holding its annual Fourth of July fireworks display Wednesday at the Blytheville Youth Sportsplex.

Blytheville will be holding its annual Fourth of July fireworks display Wednesday at the Blytheville Youth Sportsplex.

The event is sponsored by the City Advertising Tourism and Promotions Commission.

The display is scheduled to begin at dark. Those attending should park in the main Sportsplex parking lot on the south side of the ballfields.

Osceola plans Star Spangled Celebration

Osceola Parks and Recreation, a division of the city of Osceola, will hold its annual Star Spangled Celebration Wednesday at the Osceola Sports Complex.

The festivities will begin at 5 p.m. with an old-timers baseball game. This game will showcase some of the local legends of the community as they do battle with the Osceola Parks and Recreation 12-year-old All-Star Team.

At 7 p.m., a young-timers game will be held. This game will showcase some of the younger legends of the community as they do battle with the OPAR Junior Babe Ruth All-Star Team. This game will lead up to the Fireworks display, which will be held at 9:15 p.m.

Entry to this event is free. There will be inflatables for the kids and a concession stand.
