Janet Lee Stone

Janet Lee Stone was born July 13, 1964, in Chicago, and passed from this life Friday, June 15, 2012, at her home in Manila. She was the daughter of the late David Stone and had been a longtime Manila resident. She was a former employee of White's Shoe Factory of Manila and Adams Land Company of Leachville.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, David Randall "Stoney" Stone; and one sister, Gloria Sanford.

She is survived by her son, David Waddell and his wife, Pennye, of Manila;

One daughter, Shelley Waddell of Manila;

Her mother, Velma Green of Manila; and

Nine grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Joshua Waddell, Nick Smith, Kaleb Waddell, Randy Smith, Aalea Waddell, Addison Waddell, Jacob Cates and Jealynn Cates.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Manila Cemetery with the Rev. James Chipman officiating. Howard Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors from noon until the time of the service today at the funeral home.
