Eric Burton
Mr. Eric Burton, 51, of Blytheville, died Friday, June 8, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Chicago but lived here most of his life. He attended Blytheville Public Schools and played basketball at Blytheville High School. He was called "Slim" by many of his friends.
He had lived in Detroit, Atlanta and New Orleans. He joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church as a child.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Richard of Blytheville;
His father, Mingo Burton;
His biological father, Mathis Fields;
A son, Anthony;
Three daughters, Erica Chew, Patricia Adams and Trundalia Ward;
A sister, Lisa McGhee;
Half-sisters Lisa Austin and Tawanda Austin;
A half-brother, Ronnie Austin;
An aunt, Mrs. Mary Seals;
Four uncles, Sammy (and Kathy) Dodd, Tom Smith, Phil Smith, and Edward (and Sharon) Smith;
A special cousin, Mrs. Annie P. Rainer; and
Nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul MB Church, 1630 West Street in Blytheville, with the Rev. Johnnie E. Moore, pastor. Arrangements are by McDonald-Horne Funeral Home of Blytheville.
