Boys & Girls Club visits Welcome Center

Deanna Dismukes, trustee with the Matilda and Karl Pfeifer museum in Piggott, was at the Blytheville Welcome Center Tuesday to talk to kids from the DCOM Boy and Girls Club out of Luxora.

Dismukes spoke to the kids about different types of rocks and minerals on display at the museum, many of which are found locally in Arkansas.

She also gave a brief history of the Pfeifer family.

The Pfeifer Museum will be holding its annual Native American Day from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.
