Buffalo Island Central Lady Mustangs completed a perfect week with a 6-3 victory over Riverside Friday afternoon at Lake City. The victories improved BIC to 11-1 overall and 10-1 in 2A-3 conference play.

Brittany Fowler led the Lady Mustangs past Riverside, going 2-4 at the plate, while Brittany Stockton added a three run double. Kelsey Strickland and Callie Brooks also had RBI doubles.

Madison Greathouse went the distance to earn the win. Greathouse fanned four, walked none while giving up four hits and one earned run.

Taylor Archer suffered the loss for the Lady Rebels, allowing six hits and five earned runs over seven innings of work. Archer struck out seven and walked three. Emily Jordan led Riverside at the plate, going 2-3, including a double and a run scored.

The Lady Mustangs began the week, whipping Walnut Ridge 11-1 Monday afternoon at Monette. Brittany Fowler banged out three hits and drove in four runs for BIC. Catherine Colbert was 3-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Madison Greathouse had a pair of hits while Kelsey Strickland went 2-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Bailey Owens had two hits and scored twice while Brittany Stockton had a single and two RBIs.

Greathouse picked up the win, striking out seven while allowing just two hits.

BIC rallied for three runs in the seventh to pull out a 6-5 victory over Marked Tree Tuesday afternoon at Monette.

Callie Brooks led the Lady Mustangs at the plate, going 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Kelsey Strickland had an RBI single while Karoline Thomas went 2-4 with a run scored. Madison Greathouse picked up the win, going the distance, striking out three while giving up five hits and three walks.

In a battle for the top spot in the 2A-3 conference, BIC knocked off Rector 9-4 Thursday afternoon on the road.

Callie Brooks blasted a three run homer while adding a double and a single to lead the Lady Mustangs offensively. Brooks added four RBIs and scored twice. Kelsey Strickland had a pair of doubles and scored two runs. Brittany Stockton went 3-4, including a double, scored twice and had an RBI. Catherine Colbert had a double, a single, scored a run and added an RBI. Madison Greathouse picked up the win for the Lady Mustangs.

Riverside began the week sweeping Bay in a non-conference doubleheader Monday afternoon at Lake City. The Lady Rebels won the opener 18-0 before taking the nightcap with a 12-0 whitewash.

Emily Jordan fired a three inning no-hitter in the opener, striking out four Lady Yellowjackets. Jordan also had a pair of hits and two RBIs.

Jordan Miller was a perfect 3-3 at the plate with a pair of RBIs. Lauren Weaver had a pair of hits and drove in four runs while Chelsea Nichols went 2-2 with three RBIs.

In the nightcap, Taylor Archer picked up the win, fanning 10 Lady 'Jackets while giving up just three hits. Lauren Weaver led Riverside at the plate with a pair of hits and two RBIs while Gattlin Hale went 2-2 with an RBI.

Riverside dropped a heartbreaking 4-3 decision to Marmaduke Tuesday afternoon on the road. The Lady Greyhounds scored an unearned run in the eighth inning to win the game.
