Mrs. Norma Jean Hulen, 87, of Warm Springs Ark., died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Pocahontas. Born Sept. 22, 1924 in Warm Springs, she was the daughter of the late General Lee and Sophie Cook Stout and had been a long-time area resident. Mrs. Hulen was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening and quilting.
She is survived by one son, Tommy Hulen of Pocahontas; three daughters, Patsy Maness of Pocahontas, Nancy Reddick and husband Doyle of Maynard, and Meggi Litherland and husband Ron of Desoto, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Jeff, Scott and Joel Maness, Heather Talla and husband Mark, Jon Reddick, David Hulen and Josh Litherland; nine great- grandchildren, Kyle, Jessica, Caleb, Christian, Nathan, Bradley, Brooke, Logan and Milla. Mrs. Hulen also leaves a host of other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill Hulen, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Attica with Rev. Matthew Kerley officiating. Burial will follow at Warm Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila. The family will received visitors Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
