Max Sherwood
Mr. Max Sherwood, 81, of Blytheville, passed from this life Friday, April 6, 2012, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Holland, Mo., to William "Bill" and Ollie Strode Sherwood, he was a member of the First Baptist Church and a Korean War veteran, having served in the US Army.
Max owned and operated Max's Auto Sales and was former used car manager for Littrell-Ozier Ford. He was a former member of the Blytheville Jaycees and American Legion and loved working in his yard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Coyi Lynn Sherwood.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Tillman Sherwood, of the home;
His children, Dr. Max Ann Ferguson and her husband, Dr. Scott of Harrison, and Max T. Sherwood and his wife, Ryan, of Charleston, S.C.;
A brother, Chilton Strode of Kansas City; and
Two granddaughters, Aiden and Parker Sherwood, of Charleston.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy Joe Carney officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until time for services. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
