Thelma Lee McConnell DeVore
Mrs. Thelma Lee McConnell DeVore, 79, of Paragould, died Friday, March 23, 2012, at her home. She was born Sept. 26, 1932, in Bokoshe, Okla., the daughter of the late Elvie James and Jennie Bell Price McDaniel.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Nolan McConnell; her second husband, Herman DeVore; a son, James McConnell; and brothers, Sammy F. and James E. McDaniel.
She was a retired fashion show consultant and a member of the Vines Chapel Baptist Church. Thelma loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her best friend, Connie Baine.
Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis Ann Arnold and Darlene Howard of Paragould;
A son, Elvin G. McConnell, of Paragould;
Her sisters, Jeanette Chipman Lowery of Chowchilla, Calif., Shirley Johns Ramirez of Paragould, and Ruth Ann Langley and Donna Jean Allen;
Brothers, Larry McDaniel and Rick Allen McDaniel, both of Blytheville;
Grandchildren, Chad, Monica, Rocky, Jimmy, Jessica and Desiree;
Great-grandchildren, Brittney, Brandon, Cheyenne, Lisa Marie, Tyler and Kay Kay; and
One great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Heath Funeral Home.
Her life will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Heath Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Nathan Gramling officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery.
