Clyde Johnson
The Rev. Clyde Johnson, 67, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012.
He was Pastor of New St. Luke Baptist Church. He retired from NIBCO after 34 years and was assistant manager for 12 years at Collins Chapel Mortuary Inc. He was a Mason and a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Hattie Johnson; three brothers, Cleo, Aaron and Roosevelt Johnson; and two sisters, Delilah Hunt and Verlene Moore.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Anita Johnson of Blytheville;
Two daughters, Mrs. Tracey Ann Smith and Mrs. Tasha Sharkey of Jonesboro;
One granddaughter, Gabrielle Sharkey of Jonesboro
Three sisters, Ceola Brown of Chicago, Leola Reed of Blytheville and Mary Johnson of Chicago;
One brother, Napoleon Johnson of St. Louis;
One special nephew, Clyde Reed Sr. of Blytheville and one special niece, Sheila and Leroy Jackson of North Little Rock and Ms. Jessica Williams of Atlanta, Ga.; and
A host of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Collins Chapel in Blytheville with the Rev. Robert Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Collins Chapel. Flowers may be sent to the Chapel.
