Officers with the Blytheville Police Department responded Thursday afternoon to the shooting of an 18-year-old Blytheville man.

Officers with the Blytheville Police Department responded Thursday afternoon to the shooting of an 18-year-old Blytheville man.

At approximately 3:25 p.m., officers were called to 937 S. 15th St. When they arrived, they discovered Lodrice Donaldson, who had apparently been shot while standing in his front yard. Witnesses said while Donaldson and an unidentified man were standing outside, a red SUV driving east on West McHaney slowed down, and an occupant of the vehicle shot at the two men.

Donaldson was struck and was able to run inside, while the unidentified victim fled the scene and has not been located or contacted the police department. Donaldson was treated on scene and later flown to The Regional Medical Center in Memphis, where his condition is currently unknown.

Additionally, officers are looking for a fugitive with federal warrants who is believed to be in Blytheville. According to federal authorities, Taron Montrey Brown is wanted for a weapons violation in Michigan, and those authorities had information that Brown was in the 1500 block of West McHaney.
