Linda Sue Dunavin Cheadle
Linda Sue Dunavin Cheadle, 56, of Fayetteville passed away Feb. 11, 2012, in Fayetteville. She was born Sept. 21, 1955, in Melbourne, Ark., (Izard County) the daughter of James Robert and Johnie Sue Gaston Dunavin.
She was a graduate of Arkansas State University with a masters degree in reading education teaching in Lake City Public Schools, Hope Public Schools and Pulaski County Special School District.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1992 and brother, James Robert Dunavin, Jr., in 1998.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Matthew Cheadle of the home; two children, Christopher Dunavin Cheadle who completed law school at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, now in a Fellowship Program in City Planning at the University of Memphis, and Carmen Diane Cheadle, who graduated from Fayetteville High School and now attends University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo., with studies in Humanity, Film and French Foreign Language Studies; and her mother, Johnie Sue Gaston Dunavin, a retired nurse who remains in her home in Melbourne, Ark.
A memorial service will be held at the Violet Hill Cemetery, near Melbourne, at 1 p.m. March 10.
Local arrangements are by Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville.
