Michael Barnhill Richmond

Mr. Michael Barnhill Richmond, 39, of San Diego, Calif., died of heart failure Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, in California. Born July 25, 1972 in Osceola, he was a Chief Petty Officer with the Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lee and Veatrice Barnhill Matthews.

Mr. Richmond leaves his daughter, Cynthia Barnhill of San Diego;

Five sisters, Sharrone Richmond of Southhaven, Amy Matthews of Rock Island, Patricia Matthews of St. Louis, Angela (and Randy) Thompson of Carrolton, and Tracy (and Charles) Mattlock of Dallas; and

Four brothers, Elvis Richmond of Wynne, John (and Lisa) Matthews of Jonesboro, Reggie (and Stephanie) Matthews of Osceola, and Ronnie (and Barbara) Richmond of Crown Pointe.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Moses Black, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday 3 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
