There were 43 city of Blytheville employees who made more than $40,000 in 2010, according to city financial records.
The records also show the city spent approximately $367,690 in overtime in 2010.
Blytheville Fire Chief Mike Carney and Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson have said some of their department's overtime is required.
The city's 194 employees earned a total of $5,300,018.22 in 2010, according to the report. Former Thunder Bayou Golf Links superintendent Jeff Haskins was the highest paid city employee, earning $77,586.14 in 2010.
The Blytheville Courier News recently obtained the records through a request under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act.
