Brenda Denise Freeman

Brenda Denise Freeman, 54, of Gosnell, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. She was born in Rhode Island, N.C., to Harold Gene Riley and Elaine Louise O'Kelly Riley. She lived most of her life in North Carolina before moving to Memphis as an adult. She moved to Gosnell a few years ago to be near her children and grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith, but had been attending Heartland Pentecostal Church of Gosnell.

She loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed music-especially Elvis and George Strait.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Earnest (Chris Ward) and Donna Earnest (Jody Galloway) all of Gosnell;

Her grandchildren, Joseph Carmichael, Juan Earnest, Carlos Mandujano, Casey Watson, Lisa Earnest, Kristy Galloway, and Jesse Galloway, all of Gosnell;

A sister, Jean (and David) Pierce of Memphis; and

Two brothers, Jerry Gleason and Junior Gleason of Memphis.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy J. Carney officiating. Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. until service begins. You may send condolences to www.carneyfuneralhome.com
