Bryan Sickels, 35, of Manila, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at The Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Born at Creve Coeur, Mo., near St. Louis, he had been a Manila resident since 1982. He was a carpenter and loved all types of woodwork. Bryan was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include two sons, Sethaniel Sickels and Ashton Sickels; one daughter, Maci Sickels; his parents, Frank and Sandra Smith Sickels; his grandmother, Bernice Smith, all of Manila; four sisters,
Tonia Iliff of Manila, Coni Strader of Batesville, Ark., Shawna Sickels of Etowah and Angie Ashabranner of Manila. Bryan also leaves his fiancee Felicia Ashabranner of Manila; six nieces, seven nephews, one great-niece and four great-nephews.
Funeral service was 3 p.m. Friday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Andy Andros officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery.
The family received visitors Friday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Chris Strader, Joey Meherg, Chris Ashabranner, Rodney Smith, Kevin Lovell, and Richard Holtz.
