Recent reports from the Blytheville Police Department:
Eric Blocker was charged with carrying a weapon and resisting arrest after officers were called about a suspicious person near Pizza Hut on North Division. When officers arrived, Blocker was spotted by the old Jordan's parking lot. Blocker was crouched down and when the officer opened his door he heard metal hit the concrete. After a struggle, officers detained Blocker, who continued to try to kick and get up from the ground. Blocker was warned to stop his actions or he would be sprayed with pepper spray. Blocker allegedly refused to submit, and as a result, was sprayed with pepper spray. The officer returned to Blocker's original location to find a 9mm Smith and Wesson, loaded with 13 rounds.
Johnny Ross was taken into custody and charged with loitering and criminal trespass after officers were dispatched to Kroger in response to a man soliciting money from customers. Management at Kroger told the officer that Ross had been banned from the property several times for soliciting money from customers.
